Beginning his professional cooking career as a teenager, Chef Jason Schulz built a diverse culinary career spanning restaurants, catering, and private dining. He earned his American Culinary Federation–accredited culinary degree from City College of San Francisco in 2001 and went on to found his own catering and personal chef company.

Over the years, Chef Schulz has overseen hundreds of events, ranging from intimate private dinners to large-scale productions serving thousands of guests. His work has included serving as personal chef to James Hetfield of Metallica, as well as cooking for notable figures such as Robert Redford, George Lucas, Robin Williams, and James Cameron.

After stepping away from the demands of professional kitchens for several years, Chef Schulz transitioned into the financial technology sector, where he worked as a technology trainer—sharpening his skills as an educator and communicator. He has since returned to the culinary world full time as a cooking instructor and founder of Good Cook Academy, where he focuses on teaching practical skills, confidence, and fundamentals to help others become truly good cooks.
